Does anyone have any experience with them or their child using Persantine as an anti-platelet drug? My daughter, Gemma, acquired KD almost 17 months ago and has been on aspirin, Lovenox, and Trenal since then and we hoping to get her off Lovenox in the next few months. Both her current Cardiologist here in Houston and Dr. Newburger believe she should be on dual anti-platelet drugs moving forward, and we are looking the options.
Apirin and Persantine
Apirin and Plavix
Apirin and Coumadin
I would love any feedback from patients or parent of patients who are on any type of similar regimen.
My daughter had extensive coronary damage (multiple giant aneurysms) in all three coronaries. Her aneurysms have regressed, but her RCA developed a clot and completely clotted off. She now has some collateral vessels that have developed in lieu of a RCA and less than ideal Left Circumflex as well. This is why she needs the anti-coagulation to prevent another clot.
