General discussion regarding Kawasaki disease
My 2 year old son has just come out from the hospital four days ago after being diagnosed with KD. He has starting to peel around his fingers and toes but I have noticed that apart from that his finger nails are coming loose near his skin also his big toe appears to be loose near the nail bed. Just wondering if anyone or their child had the same thing happen to them.

I just ran across your post and I noticed today that my son's toenails are looking peely, white horizontal lines that look like they are about to break off. We are 2 weeks post diagnosis.

the white horizontal lines that appear after KD are called "Beau's ridges" and are not a sign of further disease...eventually new
nails will grow in normally !
