Gastric, Motility, or Esophogial Problems-Long Term

Post by melanicarroll » Mon Dec 03, 2012 10:26 am

Hello,

I had Kawasaki's Syndrome, or now Kawasaki's Disease when I was thirteen months old, treated and taken care of as efficiently as my doctors could. I had no real issues until I was about 14/15, when I started getting severe chest pain and having issues swallowing food. After numerous tests, a gastroenterologist told me I had a motility disorder that was causing irregular peristalsis and esophageal spasms, as well as acid pain. I'm now 22, and still experiencing these esophagus pains. I was trying to see if anyone else has had similar problems with their lower esophagus, to see if I could find a link between the inflammation seen in Kawasaki's Disease and the irregularities in my esophagus that I experience now. I'm very tired and in a lot of pain as we speak. I'd also like to just eat normally. If anyone has or knows of someone with similar issues, please let me know!
