Peeling hands 8 years later

Post by Ottnott » Mon Apr 25, 2016 3:05 am

Hi, my son had Kawasaki 8 years ago and still has severe peeling hands to this day. I am just wondering if anyone else's children have had this? We have been told by some doctors this will be forever and others have never heard of this as a recurring issue. I realise it's not a serious side effect but would be interested to know if anyone else's children have had this continually.

I unfortunately had Kawasaki back in 2012 (when I was 13 years old) and by hands, feet, and genitals peel at random times about once or twice a year

Hi..my daughter had Kawasaki disease in 1995 at the age of 3. She is now 24 and is still having bouts of peeling skin around her fingers. Drs never give her an answer. She also deals with chronic inflammation in her legs and now her hand. We have been to several orthopedic and physical medicine doctors and no one can give us any diagnosis or answers. If any one has the same issues please let me know.
